Listen to this guy, newbs. ExpressJet is doing the "full court press" to attract pilots with pretty pictures, smiling faces and empty claims on "Best Trained" "Most Respected". Just take a look at the current company homepage:
Hey management: according to what study are you basing this claim on? Where is the evidence?
Wake up.. This is nothing but pure propaganda. "Hey, look at all these young bucks! You too can be right here!" -- and then you get here and realize you've been cheated. Nearly every captain you fly with is old enough to be your parent and have kids your age. A-Tech is littered with CR2s, branding removed and awaiting return to the leasers. And then there's the ERJ side which is fixing to completely close shop in 2-3 years unless they pull some magic strings and win United's heart back.
Management is doing everything to keep their jobs as this ship sinks. Nevermind the ambitions of the pilot flying their airplane. Who cares if they're forever sitting right seat in a shrinking company. As long as they keep their jobs a while longer… So, they're appealing to the next generation through social media. Just look on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. ExpressJet is preying on the next generation of naive and unsuspecting pilots, luring them to a company that won't provide for them what they could easily have at another regional => generous movement that promises career advancement/opportunities.
Be very cautious before you sign on the dotted line with ExpressJet.
