The company made the disastrous decision to merge the two airlines fleets right after the merger, without having contracts in place to merge the labor groups. Mostly lCAL planes into lUAL bases, although they did put some airbuses and 76T's into IAH. I think it was about 4-1 or more lCAL pilots into lUAL bases vs the opposite.

The net result was a loss of flying by the respective legacy base aircraft. 3 years of massive DHing crews, both pilots, FA's, and mechanics followed, and still continue. Just look at the PS DHers on flights between hubs. It is a disaster.

They already bumped out of DEN and ORD, with IAH to follow. They are not even close to sorting out the pilots, and have not even begun the process with the FA's.

It is a complete cluster*&^%.

I am sorry for the negative effect on the lives of IAH pilots, but this is aviation. These pilots should not have been trained in the first place. That is all water under the bridge, but now the water is flowing OVER the bridge and the effected pilots are not going to like it.

Welcome to the big leagues.
