I got hired in June of 2014. I was the first person to go through the new interview process. I know because I got an email 2 days before my interview telling me that everything had changed. They didn't do the psych eval, the coordination test, their old knowledge test, or a simulator test. All I did was a new test that was designed to be like the ATP written. The thought process is that if they are going to pay for your training to take the ATP written they would like to know you can pass one before they spend a bunch of money on training. I didn't have a simulator ride, I imagine because I had about 250 hours part 135 in a Caravan.
Under the new interview process it sounds like they are looking for anyone with a pulse, and who meets legal requirements.
