And I understand (and to a limited extent agree with) time value of money WRT pay rates. I'm not saying we should turn down 30% today because we could maybe get 40% in 3 years or whatever. But I am saying that there is zero need for concessions to pay for whatever it is we get.
Oh and you mentioned drama, yet I guess some get a pass pretending to be empoverished dead zoners that can't feed their families and are headed towards retirement in a ditch unless we gut our contract for a pay raise by any means necessary. And I guess its not dramatic at all to say if we vote no for any given TA, based on its contents, that we are radical and unreasonable and the NC is going to quit in a hissy fit and the NMB is going to park us for many years and we'll get nothing etc.
None of the above has been MY argument. All I want r you guys to read the damned TA when it comes out and make your decision then. Nothing more. If PS is soooooo important to you that is is an automatic no vote, then let your heart be your guide and vote no. If scope changes are soooo important, then do the same there. But the drama that I am reading is all the ultimatums being thrown round on here without ever having seen item 1 of a TA.
