They were hired in 1998, before those pilots they are now senior to. Sorry but that's how unions work. Most unions just use date of hire. Just think what would be the case if Brucia had pushed for longevity only instead of just one factor. He's the guy that added it. How come no one hired 2005 and beyond at CAL hasn't asked him what he was thinking when he lobbied so hard pre-merger?
