I've spent many years at both types of flying and although I realize that there are some corporate jobs that are good, I never had a corporate gig that I could have considered as a career....!
Just the fact that I can "disconnect" from work really does it for me, I was never truly off while flying corporate.
Corporate flying has been good to me though, specially in downturns of the airline industry, I always found refuge from the rug being pulled from under my feet starting back in 91 when I lost my first "Last Job In Aviation" and I've been blessed to have never been unemployed for a period of time that I didn't want to..., so I don't want to sound as if I have something personal against corporate flying because it is not the case.
I just find that the better QOL in terms of roster stability and the ability to get specific important family dates off is in airline flying.
