My question is WHY would any of our pilots attempt to defend or attack a TA that currently is nothing more than loose rumor or vague innuendo?

FWIW, I couldn't agree more with your other thread that these rumors do cost us money and gains.
I think your question about lining up for/against a TA that's not on the table is valid and pertinent. There is something wrong with lining up on either side of it in advance. You're an observant guy, also a guy skeptical of any sales-jobs. I think that's the reason you've commented mostly on guys appearing on one side of the "debate". There have been a lot of new posters on here lately, and up until recently, they all dovetailed far more into the "early rejection" side than the "early acceptance" camp. From my viewpoint, there has been a ton of deliberate, premature commentary designed specifically to set up some reps to look like heroes, others to look like villains. We can do a little post hunting if you want examples. It's all political stuff. It's all borderline obscene, embarrassing, and certainly quite expensive to all of us.

What I'm interested in, is that the process is followed, the pilots get to make the call, and we don't step on our own cranks at the negotiating table over political infighting. The MEC/NC need to be allowed to deliver the best product they possibly can, then we must judge the results in a critical and deliberate manner. I think that's what we should focus on.
