Resurrecting an old thread I know but curious as to what the situation looks like on the ground up there for low time guys now? I've been searching both here and at Jetcareers thoroughly but am having some issues finding current information. I'm from Kenai originally and am looking to head back home. I know that quite a few of the companies mentioned in this thread are hiring now or have been very recently but they all seem to stipulate/prefer AK resident. I wonder if I'd get credit for being an Alaskan that's lost his way lol. Just to add I'm currently in a fast track program and will have all of my ratings up through commercial and CFI as well as 300 hours in October. I'm working on a few contacts to boost my hours via pipeline work and banner towing immediately after school to make me at least more competitive for an AK job ASAP. Anyways guys I appreciate your time and any info you're willing to provide.
