But those are "conditional" airframes. In other words, they don't have to be assigned if there is no "new" flying. Or am I getting it mixed up with something else?

So Alaska and delta like the 175 better than the 700s and 900s? Who owns those 700s and 900s? As for UAL, I thought they were maxed out on scope already. I don't remember anymore.
