That's not what sunsetting means.

Those jets are staggered across multipile carriers in contracts that constantly expire in little chunks on a rolling basis. Sunsetting doesn't mean picking up the phone and saying "we decided to bankrupt your company by violating our contracts". That's just hyperbole. I would like to see at least some meaningful sunsetting (50-60 of these DC-9 sized jets) as their contracts naturally expire and can't be renewed. The rest can be renewed…until next contract where we go after another 50-60 of them...
