The gate agents in MSY were saying they've buying people off every week (10-30 people per flight) for the last 3 months and it's been every day lately (MSY-DEN) because of the cool, wet weather there. She was throwing out numbers like $1000.00 to 1300.00 pay out to those DB's.
We all know what this plane CAN and CANNOT do. Fine.
But we probably only aware of a fraction of the DB's that occur. Customers may tolerate this briefly, but that is not what is happening. In my mind this lapse in service quality to our customers that is WAY too common on our product and is unacceptable. Period.
