You don't have to be a CFI to get a job. While it is difficult, I did it and loved every second of not having to sit in the right seat of a 172!!! While I will never argue that it is a great piece of knowledge, it isn't a requirement. We are looking for guys over here at Scenic/GCA like mad! I got hired here last year with 250 hours TT. I havne't been on the line even a year yet and I now have 1250TT and upgraded to the Caravan. The days are long and Vegas is very hot, but it's an experience I am glad to have had. I am moving on soon, but happy with this step WAY over getting my CFI. PM me if you want more info and if you're serious about getting job!
