I've been in & out of State College, PA many times over the years in 5 different types and in all kinds of weather. Winter is really fun there.

Shorts 360 = I was afraid I wouldn't make it over the ridge line on departure.
F 27 = I was afraid I'd go off the end trying to stop.
Jetstream 41 = I was afraid the winds would blow this POS off the side.
CRJ = That's a short runway at 9 zillion knots down the chute.

Dash 8 = Piece of cake. Like landing at the shuttle landing facility.

Every plane has it's plus and minus features, but the Dash is just a darn good all around plane. It's the Caddy of the prop world for sure. It ain't mach point 85 on the way to Paris at FL450 like the Gulfstream, but if you earn a living in the northeast grinding out 5 to 6 legs a day in the snow it's a safe capable ride.
