But don't assume that everyone will avail themselves of the five additional years, or that someone would be forced to remain a first officer for those 5 years, because that is not a fact, but fiction. There will be company growth, additional jets, additional domiciles, additional routes, etc, etc, offering additional upgrades. But you already know that. I really do understand your frustration, but this age change thing had to start somewhere. A lot of guys who went to the back seat, myself included, did so, not with the expectation of being able to return to their former seat, but to just continue working and flying. I know that doesn't mean much to you, but again, this thing had to start somewhere/some time.
