80's..
Yes, if you (or I) have a trip where you are removed for IOE, then yes.. you ARE pay protected and it's at your discretion if you want to pick up another trip (for extra pay) or sit at home paid!
That being said, I noticed that they HAD been pulling trips out of the trip pool of PBS a few months ago. Didn't notice that many pulled this month. (at least in my pool of available trips)
I have a trip where I am the FO flying with a LCA to England in a couple of weeks. Word on the street is that I will PROBABLY be pulled (FBO'd) off the trip a few days prior to the actual trip. Hoping that I will then be able to pick up the extra FO (IRO3) position and still fly the trip, but at double pay.
This is one of the few good deal we still have left. I hope we keep it but as everything in this industry is connected, I hope you guys keep it so it makes it easier for us to keep it!
Two side notes-
1) I don't think we can end up with a SRM (your version of pink/green slips) in which we get paid 3x what we would have done. Might be 'contractually' possible, but not sure it has happened in real life.
B) There's a push to have all 4 (yupe.. FOUR) guys in the cockpit now for Takeoff and Landing. Having that 4th guy in the jumpseat on a 757-200 is pretty much worthless and almost a distraction.. you can NOT see anything outside, really only part of the FO's panel and with one audio panel for the 2 jumpseats, get's a little awkward with volume control. Not to mention.. it's tight!
Looking forward to seeing/hearing about the Delta TA. To see if the rumors are true, and where the bar is set for us~
Always
