Here's my prediction: if the base grows to 100 crews, we'll have 20 senior crews and the rest will go junior.
I think the real question is how junior the CA side will go in MCO. Will senior FOs in Denver already bypassing upgrade ORD continue to bypass for MCO as well? I think most view the new base favorable to ORD, but it's not the easiest commute down there. I think most senior FOs will stay put for now until they can hold a great line, 15 relatively senior captains go to MCO, and no backfill in Denver; the relatively new FOs will have a stab at upgrade in MCO and ORD by this fall with the rapid addition of 321 airframes. If I were a very senior FO, I think twice about giving up my good schedule (especially these days) and drive to work for small raise when everything we know now suggests this company will be considerably bigger in one year. One year from now, ORD & MCO will be better developed with probably better schedules than DEN will ever see again.
