.7% annual raises since 1992
767A was $193 in 1992 today it pays $226.
That's a $33/hr raise over 23 years. Or .69% annual raises. That was of course when retirement was guaranteed and medical was virtually cost free among a dozen other items we no longer have. I don't need to tell any of you how much inflation has risen during that same time.
Also C2K was valued at approx.. $2.1B I believe with 10,000 pilots. Delta took in around $14B in total revenue. Last year Delta took in $40.3B and our current contract is worth roughly $3B with 28% more pilots on the list today (12,800) AFTER a merger with a pilot group of 5,000 -7,000 pilots.
$2.1/14B = 15% of total revenue
$3/40.3B = 7.4% of total revenue for pilot costs
We are 1/2 of the relative cost to Delta right now compared to C2K and DAL makes more net profit in 2 months than it netted in one year back then.
Profit sharing while undeniably great does NOT equate to the pension we lost.
Vote as you choose. I HOPE this TA restores at least our pay from 11 years ago PLUS incremental increases along the way.
I will withhold judgment and comment until the actual TA is released.
