Two additional EMB's will enter service in DFW this month, and up to 3 more next month. The monthly schedules have already been built, so I expect this flying will be dumped into open time as critical coverage premium.
As I have repeatedly stated. The new currency is staffing. Whomever has the staffing will get the flying. This is flying coming back to Envoy is returning from Mesa.
Look for more good news soon as well.
The tide ebbs and flows and will soon again recede back out to sea.
I heard this last Friday. From the sound of it, what's apparently happening now is AAG capitalizing on Envoy's TEMPORARY staffing surplus to give some breathing room to the too rapidly expanding PSA/Piedmont operations. By early next year, they will be caught up and most likely Envoy will be closer to being "right-sized" with another several hundred pilots gone and the temporary requirement of Envoy carrying PSA and Piedmont's water will no longer be necessary.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
