EXACTLY. My concern is the E195 will become the new B scale. What prevents them from using it to do most domestic flying under those pathetic rates. The E195 can do most of the domestic flying.
From what I understand the E190 is for the west coast to replace the 717s and maybe do dtw flying. Maybe replace the 717 there too. The 717s will come back east maybe to do the shuttle flying in full or replace some 88 flying. The E190 is supposedly not for ATL.
The 88s retirement is now a topic of management discussion. You could probably replace its flying with a mix of 90s, 320s, 319s, 717s, 737s and even double CRJ900s.
That's what I was told.
