Pilots bid in via system wide AE, and have to already be qual'd in the position. Positive Space travel to from the base at the beginning and end of the bid period. Ocean Crossing (see my post above regarding the PWA definition of Ocean Crossing in 2.A.182) is prohibited on first leg of rotation from virtual base and from existing pilot base.

As a local ATL guy, I'm not sure if I'm thrilled about this one. If I lived in one of the cities where they want to run these things (MCO, BOS, LAS and DFW were being tossed around...) I might think differently. Supposedly the "time" will have to be pulled from the bases where the pilots come...so if all SEA7ERB's take the LAS7ERB slots, it supposedly would only be a drawdown in SEA and not the other ER bases just as a hypothetical. Obviously there would be a mix of guys coming from all over.
Thanks. This provision sounds like a great deal for a commuters, while it doesn't help those in-base I'm not sure how it hurts them either. When I was hired here my biggest negative was I didn't like any of the domiciles. Now that I'm acclimated to the job my only real stress is getting to and from work. If I'm reading correctly, this lets me be home domiciled and work at any minibase that has my jet which my seniority would allow me to hold. DH would be better, but I'll take PS over the ridiculous 12:00:00.00001 phone call required to get a JS to/from ATL (which is of course physically impossible when you have to do both).

For me this alone isn't enough for a yes vote, but it would ease the sting a little if it manages to pass.

Sorry to edit after I've been quoted but one thing I thought of... Might not be the greatest thing for commuters not in the minibase since there is probably a good chance they wouldn't be able to PS from a non-domicile city into the minibase anyway. I guess it would depend on the details of how they would do the PS but my guess is it wouldn't be much of an improvement for me personally.
