I won't argue the amount of jobs it costs. I'm sure it's close BUT (hey, it's a big but!), it can possibly effect 75% of the FO's in EVERY category! That, of course is based on the amount of training going on in each category but it is possible.
It is a HUGE QOL give back.

No question you are correct.
After having heard the bulk of the rationale behind the bullet points, I have to say I could probably support this thing without this provision.
A lot of the other stuff is getting blown way out of proportion. The pay is underwhelming, but I refuse to use terms like "insulting" or "slap in the face." It is just business.
