It does cost jobs, because it's 'more efficient' when guys aren't stuck in training, jumping seats, chasing dollars. BUT...having said that, in light of the 747's being replaced by the A350/A330's, if I were king, I would have banded them with the 777, which would also necessitate banding the 76-400 with the 777.

Of course, if I were king, the 747 wouldn't have been banded with the 777 at the merger, the 330 would have. The 747 should have paid quite a bit more, due to the 100+ more passengers it hauls. I still believe in being paid by the number of passengers we carry, even though we all know the MD88 Copilot is the hardest working guy here!
