"By now, you may have seen that ALPA has released preliminary information explaining their Tentative Agreement. While we do not have all the language yet, it is clear that your Survey was discarded in favor of a cozy relationship with management. Cutting Profit Sharing by 50% for all profit from $2.5 Billion to $6 Billion is, by far, the greatest disconnect between ALPA and Line Pilot direction we have ever seen. Additional concessions in Scope, Sick Leave, Bidding, TLV and others combined with unbelievably low increases in pay, DC contribution, per diem, vacation, etc., plus the complete disregard for lowering health care costs for active and retirees, Door Pay, Mininum Daily Guarantee and others signal that ALPA has finally lost all connection with you, the Line Pilot.

DPA uses Open Surveys with Published Results to learn about and then pursue Line Pilot desires. These surveys tie DPA hands on issues securely through transparency and accountability. DPA could never bring you an early Tentative Agreement, with conditions in it that directly violate survey results. You would know it from the published survey results and you would reject it. You would then use our innovative Open Recall system to take down the rogue leadership who would attempt such a violation. Two clicks is all it would take.

What troubles us most is that the MEC Chairman specifically said that pilots have demanded, "DO NOT TOUCH MY PROFIT SHARING", and yet the MEC is now about to vote on a proposal that does exactly that. How they can justify going against your wishes in this era of incredible profit is beyond reason. It is clear.....it is time for change. THIS IS OUR TIME!"
