This doesn't specify
where the flying will occur -- that part is my guess -- but it does explain that MEM B-767 pilots shouldn't have to worry about actually flying them. If you're lucky enough to get those pairings during the Secondary Line building process, you should expect to be subsequently removed from those pairings for training.

OK, first of all, we're not talking about LINES, we're talking about TRIPS which will be placed on Secondary lines.
Second, I can't find a single trip in the JULY 2015 MEM B-767 Bid Period Package that goes to PVG or CAN. What pairing are you looking at?
My guess that there would be no B-767 flying in Asia was wrong. There are actually 4 "week"-long pairings that go to PVG, ICN, HAN, and SGN. There are 14 "2-week"-long pairings (5 for F/O only, 9 for Capt only) which deadhead to the U.S., rest 24 hours, and fly all U.S. legs before D/H back to HKG.
But as far as the MEM B-767 bid period package goes, I don't see a single pairing which would require a Visa.
What am I missing?
Well, for one thing I was missing the trips listed in Open Time.
MEM B-767 Trips 3047, 3048, 3049, and 3050 appear to be reconstructed versions of HKG B-767 Trip 4.
MEM B-767 Trips 3051, 3052, 3053, and 3054 appear to be reconstructed versions of HKG B-767 Trip 2.
MEM B-767 Trip 3056 appears to be a reconstructed version of a combination of HKG B-767 Trips 1 and 4, and a huge Carryover Trip at that.
MEM B-767 Trips 3055 and 3057 appears to be reconstructed versions of HKG B-767 Trips 1 and 2, and pretty big Carryover Trip themselves.
Meanwhile, nobody is flying the HKG Trips 1, 2, 3, or 4, the only Asia flying in the Bid Period Package.
OK, so I'm still wrong about B-767 flying in Asia, and I did stipulate that was my guess. A few lucky MEM pilots who have been awarded Secondary Lines stand to reap substantial benefits by having those Trips added to their lines and then being bumped for Training.
Two things puzzle me. First, why Deadhead all the current HKG B-767 pilots to the U.S. to fly while Deadheading the new B-767 pilots to fly in Asia?
Second, why are all the live segments scheduled under Supplemental Rules vice Flag?
