Look at the Wide Report two or three pages below your current line to get a view of where you will be with 75% of OE time removed. I go from 17 hour three day trips down to 16 hour trips with the same report and release times. That alone is a 5% pay reduction. Hourly rates will adjust upward from AA UAL also.

There are lots of ways to slice this so we lose money with higher rates.
Remember that the language allows for 75% to be removed of those trips tagged for OE. Not simply LCA trips. Fine point, but thought I would bring it up.

I owe everyone more JV stuff, but simply put this is not a decrease in current JV flying nor should we see any ill effects from this language in the future. I'll cover this later, really.

I know man. Its a lot to consider. There are multi-variate effects from this change in the contract. There is zero question about that. It effects some categories and seniorities more than others.

Clearly this was a request to increase productivity from the company. I think we can all agree on that. The question is, on a personal level, does it reach the threshold (combined with other changes) for it to outweigh the upside of greater pay?

I know how much the top end JV bugs us, and it should. But the conversion to block hours is a wash, truly. And we are tightening the compliance period and band so that we can better regulate the balance of flying and not wait three years for a grievance.
