With limited airline opportunities providing low entry pay in the US it's the way to go to earn a reasonable salary and be treated with some form of respect. I am an expat over in Europe. Its great to work for a company where my first year's captain's pay is greater than a 10 or 15 year captain's pay at a "legacy carrier" who will never recover their give backs. Its nice to have uplifting conversations, not related to our airline, or gee what kind of pay cut are they going to ask us to take now?

It great, I fly nice new airplanes of which their fleet will still be younger than the average age of the legacy carriers fleet when I retire. It may be a twin jet, but what the heck, the pay is better than flying whales in China. After all isn't the money and benefits more important than the gross weight of the aircraft? I'm sure Brown is a great company to fly for. In my opinion a direct entry job the left seat is better than a direct entry job to the 3rd seat for a 20 year veteran, though the price may be a long way from home for an extended period of time.
