Agree with this poster from the Delta MEC page:
"If the TA is ratified, the sick leave will "most likely" apply to an additional 1300 or so pilots? A total of around 4000 pilots? That seems pretty substantial to me. And, I'm sorry, but to me it IS worth giving up a 20-21% raise (spread over 4 years). It's not a win-win. Money isn't everything here. In this day and age, privacy is a paramount issue. It's more than a doctor's note being asked for here. It is an invasion of my privacy that the Company has no LEGAL right to (right now). But, since agreeing to sign away your LEGAL right to medical privacy in a collective bargaining agreement doesn't bother you much, I'm guessing you don't worry much about privacy issues like I do. Would you mind if I borrowed your Social Security number and mother's maiden name for just a bit?"
He may want to check those numbers he's been fed from the MEC as a raise. I think it's been fleshed out, the real numbers are considerably lower. His point regarding the medical aspect is still well articulated.
