If you figure say 10% of Captains are LCA with 4 trips each and 75% of those trips are taken then per every 100 captains in a category you lose about 30 trips (100 x .1 x 4 x .75). So a ER category with 400 pilots would lose about 120 trips.

So given the seniority of lca, especially in the wb categories, you're eliminating probably 30 of the most desired trips or trips at the most desirable time (weekends off, July 4 off, thanksgiving off, Christmas off).

It's just less to bid for as the trips are removed and senior pilots who bid award "any lca trip" are now just going to bid regular senior trips.

Now the number could be higher, what if a domestic category runs 15% lca and 5 trips on average per month? Should be around 56 trips per 100 pilots.

Now say you're a WB fo relatively junior but moving up rather rapidly. Not only do you lose bidding power but get ready for all the senior NB FOs to abandon 88, 717, 320 and jump up to ER, 330, 777.

But somehow with nearly 6000 FOs it magically only hurts 150 pilots. Why are we being asked to buy off on a TA that hurts anyone with 5 or 6B PTIX in a year.

So basically we are going to eliminate 30-50 mostly senior trips per 100 pilots, cause a lot of movement.
