Wear athletic shoes to the range.

I took the bus to/from ABQ. A couple of guys in our class drove in. They managed to leave the facility a couple of times. Your days are packed. What little spare time you have, you may end up using up for studying or practicing your range procedures.

For example, I spent about 2 hours each Monday & Tuesday night practicing with the dummy USP - drawing, holstering, etc.

In short, I don't think a rental car would be worth it.

Bring a box or two of adhesive bandages. They have them over there at the range and the mat room. But, your fingers get nicked up and you end up constantly using and replacing bandages. It's good have your own stash.
