Once you cross any of the thresholds, which 20-30% of the pilot group will do in any given year, you better hope the underlying condition is "verifiable" to a potentially hostile third party. Get a horrible flu with a high fever? You got lucky, because anyone can verify that. Feel nautious or have a headache or just ache all over with no other "verifiable" symptoms? "Patient claims XYZ, could not comfirn nor deny". Is that going to be enough to save your career? You willing to bet your career on that, every illness for the rest of your career? For an 8% raise?

And what if its not? All they have to do is take a hostage or two, and suddenly if you don't feel well but you don't know for certain that its 100% verifiable to someone else's standards, well you better just drag your butt in and fly sick or it could be you fighting for your career and your family's livelyehod by trying to prove the unprovable.
If anybody wan't a glimpse of the future what you will deal with when sick, we already have that information. Whether it is Sedgwick or a similar claims administrator. Here you go.

Sedgwick CMS - Health & Medical - Riverside, CA - Reviews - Yelp

"If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Sleazy Sleazeball MacSleazertons. I've never been treated so badly by anyone since I've been injured. It's awful to have an injury and not be able to work, and then have your basic rights to health care denied. They are malicious, incompetent and highly unethcial. Their practices are illegal. I am on disability and in a lot of pain. I have had Rx and acupuncture through the same provider for 9 years and then they come along and decide to deny EVERYTHING. This if for the California office, but the whole operation is SLEAZETASTIC. The other reviews on here tell it all- I totally agree with A.A.

Ironically, I'm a licensed insurance agent, and so I KNOW what they are doing is illegal. I have more knowledge than most of the people they have running their phones, unfortunately, and if that isn't bad enough, the adjusters are not only not knowledgeable, but they lie, deceive, evade and use every type of con a business can use just to get over financially. The company I worked for, Kaiser Permanente, is paying them to make a lot of money off of my injury and I'm getting NO TREATMENT

Even though I had no dispute with my company, Kaiser Permanente, about my injury and didn't even have to get a lawyer, when they sold my disability contract to Sedgwick, everything went down hill. I have appealed everything through the Federal court and even though they were overturned, they STILL will not pay for ANYTHING. They tried to lowball my acupuncturist and send me to the ghetto to an unqualified person just because the price was right (for them).

I am an injured worker and I was assured I'd be taken care of by my company. Now I can't sleep at night for all the stress and trauma they have put me through. I am going back to court (yet again) and sicking the Feds on them at every turn. They will no longer return my calls and are nonresponsive in general. I don't know how any of these people can sleep at night. If there is a hell, there is a specially-made handcart for these M.F.'s. If it's up to me, the Feds will shut 'em down."

One star out of five aint bad. Best to just not call in sick right? Exactly what the company is angling for. Schedule with safety right ALPA?
