To quantify my response, people will tell you you don't need TPIC these days to get hired. That is true, like it always has been, if you have the right connections. I had the right connection, but 9/11 squashed it.
Present day, I have 6-7000 hours SIC between the 727 and Saab 340 (hence my name) and didn't get a peep until I got in the left seat. So a few hours in the right seat of a GIII IMO would not be helpful. Also, you posted you would wrench on it. Saying you could be in the right seat could just be the carrot to get you in the door when you may not fly that much.
