Default TAFACTS.COM (Please, send to your friends.)

Ok. I'm guilty of starting another thread. But, this one deserves it's own (If it hasn't been created already, FTB.)

I know someone posted the link to this on another thread, and I know it's been out for a while, but I can't find it and don't understand why people aren't talking about it.

I THINK THIS WEBSITE SHOULD BE SENT TO AS MANY DAL PILOTS AS POSSIBLE.

It doesn't take long to read through and I've double checked some things I thought were pretty unbelievable and they turned out to be spot on.

It's easy to read bullet point style.

Points like....

Air France/KLM Joint Venture language changed to put company in immediate compliance (after 4 years of non-compliance) with further 1% downward wiggle room (which would take us to nearly 46% EASKs vs currently required 50%).

Under new metric, a DL 757 is equivalent to an Air France A380!

Under the old metric, each Air France A380 required the equivalent of 4.7 DL 757s!

Section 1.E.9 allows unlimited international alter ego using company’s name, brand, logos, and livery with approval from MEC chairman only.

New Profit Sharing moves 20% threshold from $2.5B to $6.0B Pretax Income (PTIX).

At $6B PTIX, Delta will save $350M across all employee groups.

Pilots’ share of decrease is appx. $140M, equivalent to 5.74% paycut.

Other $210M likely taken from other employee groups to fund pilot raises.

With profit sharing backed out, pay raises are 8/.26/3/3. Compounded, 14.86%.

Vacation pay increased to 3:30 but value remains at 3:15 for bidding in PBS.

A pilot will not be allowed to verify any illness to extend the verification triggers. You will only be allowed/required to verify the illness when you hit that trigger. This is worrisome, if you consider that a pilot might have a severe illness during the first 14 days and the gets a head cold on day 15; this basically comes down to timing. The pilot will then need to see a health-care provider to verify the head cold.

Sick changes could very well prematurely pull Delta pilots from the cockpit if they develop a medical situation before AMAS (ALPA Aeromedical) can help them thanks to the medical records going to DHS (Director of Health Services), who is (contractually now) an AME with a duty to report to the FAA. Although it is unclear what his reporting obligations really are based upon the briefing that the MEC received on the issues.

75% of all projected OE trips withheld from FO bidding process.

● New Hire, Transition, and Upgrade

● Up to 75 hours withheld per projected OE event in widebody categories.

Three Quarters of the pilots currently being bought off OE will now fly normal line trips, pushing down everyone below them until an equal number of former lineholders are on reserve.

● This will most likely drastically cut down on number of greenslips.

● Junior FOs will take seniority hit equal to % of total trips withheld for OE.

● Junior CAs may stagnate as senior FOs unable to buddy-bid take the upgrade.

25% of unused sick leave hours below 80 each year essentially paid out as additional disability after DPMA is exhausted. A small step in the right direction. Accrued at one hour per two unused below 80 annually, but then charged two hours for every hour used.

....whoever put this together is VERY knowledgeable about the contract and this TA. It's worth taking the time to read.

Good luck.
