I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are currently first officers that are "holding the line" and not upgrading because the company refuses to uphold the reserve rules that PSA has. You are sabotaging their efforts.

I spend quite a bit of time on PSA's jump seats and talk to them about this. They all seem to say the same thing. Of the couple dozen crews I have flown with on my way to work or back home, no one said that they agreed with the DEC's being hired.

Expect to be treated as such by the people that you are working with.
With all due respect to the daOldMan, I am going to have to call BS to your post.

As a current PSA FO flying the line, I can tell you that the FOs holding out for upgrade are holding out for QOL reasons. Simply not wanting to sit reserve. I have never heard/witnessed any negative attitudes/actions towards DEC Capts coming on board. Sure we don't like the idea, but the negative attitude is directed at the company for their lack of planning not the DEC new hire. In reality DEC means senior FOs upgrading won't have to sit reserve long.

Come on people this isn't high school, enough with the drama!
