By 2025 American Airlines, alone, will have over 5000 mandatory retirements. That's not even counting those who decide to retire early or, frankly, those who cannot maintain a First Class medical. They won't be able to just hire pilots from Envoy, PSA, and Piedmont. While the wholly owned pilot groups will get priority for sure, other regional airline pilots will be hired in large numbers as well.
I predict RAH will be the first to be cannibalized as the big 3 pick them dry. Being un-aligned, non-owned, and without a flow to slow things down has certain pilot benefits.
