I would think that 2000hrs of RW time I would know a few things about navigating, communicating, etc that would transfer over to a FW job.
I wouldn't necessarily call 2250 hours a lot of time, sir. There are thousands of guys with way more time than that who have spent years in the regionals, captains and fo's, all of whom started at ground zero, who would give their left wing nut to fly for Netjets.
Furthermore, there are many on this thread who had twice that total time who, in the years following 9/11, would have given their right wing nut just to get a CFI job. And even more, who were not even qualified to apply for a regional job until they had 3000TT/500 ME PIC.
If you served our county and earned you RW time flying for the military, then I apologize...and thank you for your service. If you earned your RW time flying life flight missions, risking your life to save the lives of others, then I apologize...thank you for your bravery. If you earned you RW time in any law enforcement capacity...God bless you, and good luck!
But if you earned your 2250tt flying traffic watch, pipeline patrol, flight instructing, Grand Canyon tours, etc, may I invite you to start at ground zero, pay your dues, and get in the back of the line with the rest of us that are still paying ours!
