I am sorry if I came across as being obnoxious or sounding like I don't want to pay my dues.
I understand fully what it's like to spend long days teaching students and trying to get one more rung up the ladder.
There are several reasons I want to fly FW, the biggest is probably the safety aspect, then money, and lastly is because I enjoy flying in the IFR environment which I don't get to do often.
I have been told that some of these NetJets, Delta Private Jets, etc...are counting peoples helicopter time, and also may be hiring some with ATP minimums. So I was trying to figure out if by going to a regional, and adding another 800 or so multi hours and putting TT over 3k would make me more competitive. Or of I should go find a freight outfit or something.
If you can afford to do it for a year, I would. If nothing else you'll get an ATP and type, along with good experience. Should make your resume a lot more versatile. PS, for all the haters, it takes a while to get that much rw time and 2k is quite a bit of rw time...it's all hand flying while the thing is trying to crash. Dues have already been paid by OP IMO...he was/is at the career destination for helo guys. Unfortunately we get to pay dues each time we jump from category to category of aircraft.
