I definitely don't think there's a shortage of pilots trying for NetJets.
You won't make $40,000 your first year. There's a LOT of "soft" money at NetJets.

I flew the Reserve schedule during 2006 and finished the year at $61K. (that was my first year at NetJets)

7/7 guys typically make somewhere in the $50's their first year.
