Thanks guys, like I said, Im not trying to come off as entitled or not wanting to pay dues, I understand all to well how that goes. The job I have now is good, Im just ready for a change. Frankly, Im not sure if EMS will be around in its current capacity by the time Im ready to retire 30yrs from now, just too much nonessential flying being done for the insurance companies to keep paying for.
So, I want to fly for a fractional outfit, simply because I like the 8/6 or 7/7 because that is what I work now, and my family is used to that type of schedule. I realize that a major gig will ultimately pay more, but living where we do, its a 2hr drive to any major airport, so I will be commuting for my whole career at a place that will not allow home basing like the fractionals do.
I am going to apply at some of these places and see what happens, but I doubt seriously they will take me right now, thats why I thought by going to a regional, which seems to be the only place I can get on lol, I would better my chances greatly of being qualified for a fractional job. Thanks for the good info guys, it seems some of you realize where Im coming from!
