I spent more then twice that at the regional level and off-duty travel wasn't prioritized above compensation, advancement or treatment, although I "left my box" plenty of times . Sure, it's nice, but I know pilots at various regionals and if they truly want to go somewhere, they can. Envoy doesn't open any more doors in that area then any other regional. I can't recall a single instance in well over two decades while flying for Eagle that another pilot trumpeted this aspect of the profession as anything other then something extra nice to have.

I'd much rather have "crappy" travel bennies with better pay (a byproduct of faster upgrade) and better schedules. Apparently, your priorities are reversed and so then, I agree that since you're probably going to be where you are a long time, forget about the compensation and QOL and go see the world just a little bit easier.
