Yes, only the initial commercial must be in a complex aircraft. For the add-on you have already fulfilled the complex requirement so that's not needed. There's no maneuver for the single add-on that a complex aircraft would make easier. Also, don't waste any extra money on something complex when it isn't necessary, be smart and put that extra cash towards your cfi.
