Here goes my attempt at math and logic;
46 million/1200 pilots = $38,333 per pilot.
Divided by 60 months = $638 per pilot per month
Divided by 72 hour guarantee = $8.87 per hour.
Whatever it is the union is proposing to the company, they don't seem that far apart to me.
Also keep in mind, the average number of pilots will be much higher than 1200 pilots over the next 5 years based on the aircraft delivery schedule.
