The common thread in all of these is that I had the balls to say hello and to be a decent human being. The other common thread in these is that the people who talked me out of going straight to the company were these "scumbag east pilots" who told me it wasn't worth it.

Wow, you have bad luck. I was brought up with manners and would never treat a stranger as such. In fact, save a few bad apples, I can't think of any other West FO's who would treat you so poorly.

Sorry for your bad treatment. You must have encountered our 1% time after time.
