To add to this info, Spirit Airlines expects pilots of other airlines, with whom Spirit has a reciprocal jumpseat agreement, to list for a flight deck jumpseat online via
www.spirit.com. Although listing at the gate should not be unreasonably refused fifteen (15) minutes before departure, online listing is preferred. Listing ahead of time does not guarantee the jumpseat for OAL pilots. Spirit Pilots have priority over any OAL pilot to occupy a jumpseat. The first OAL pilot to check in at the gate has priority over all other OAL pilots for the flightdeck jumpseat. If the jumpseat(s) are full, all listed OAL pilots will be put on the standby list for an available cabin seat.
Unfortunately, Non-Spirit Crewmembers can no longer occupy an F/A Jumpseat:
"Crewmembers of other airlines, including pilots and flight attendants, are not permitted to occupy an F/A Jumpseat under any circumstance." FOM 2.15, pg 2.31
