The first part is INDOC this around 6 days. You may have a 1 day break if I remember. You need to study for the INDOC test. Then ground school starts this will be 2 weeks. You will not have time off during ground school to go home. Study! (as a group) Then sim and FTD you will get a a few breaks in between sim sessions and FTD . however if you are a new hire you may not have travel privileges yet or have the jumpseating down to go back and forth right away. Some of the more senior people that are used to training and know how the system works do well at taking the break and traveling. I went home for a few days it helps to just recharge for a day or two. Just make sure you are back in time. You bid in ground school for SIM time. The key is find the most senior person in the room and sell yourself and your abilities you will get your chance on the around the room meet and greet. If you have a car, If you already have your ATP. etc... Your background. be personable even funny. Getting a good sim time is key, You don't want the late one for sure. Training is straight forward just study and try to stay a day ahead of next day topic. If you have any other questions you can PM me.
