Hired 2002. My guess is my original number was about 4400 (postal wave). That means about 1729 in 13 years. The last couple years have seen more retirements than the first part of my career.

The growth from 1990-2000 created a lot of captains. Seems like the seniority number to hold WB captain has been fairly static (outside HKG) since I got here, although its moved higher (more junior) a bit. Growth is where careers get made, not waiting around for retirements (unless you are hired in your 20s/30s). Hoping we get some...
