I have a friend who is only 1 year out of nursing school who routinely makes $1,000/day at a hospital in So Cal because they are so critically short of nurses. That's working a long day with lots of overtime pay but it's not any longer of a day than a typical abusive regional airline day.

Wages have come up in other industries and with FAR less barriers to entry. These regional airline managers have been asleep at the yoke. I hope they are dusting off their resumes because they won't be managing regional airline sweat shops much longer.
