You can't flow when there's no hiring.
9-11 screwed a bunch of people over with a lost decade at the regionals.
Their data shows that 70% of all AA hiring this year has come from Envoy flows. Add in the ones from PSA & PDT and it's probably closer to 75% from the wholly owned regionals.
So, all the RAH, Mesa, CPZ, Gojets and eveybody other regional pilot can fight with the squadron buddies, family members, and interns for the remaining 25% being hired.
How long before Delta does something similar? Then they can all fight for a gig with United.
Such logic. I'm sure FirstMoron will be in here momentarily to scream how it is only 16 year guys going right now. I can smell his PSA stench from here.
Bottom line: Envoy pilots have filled 70% of the new hire classes at AA this year. Yes they are '99 hires. BY the end of the year, it will be 2001 hires. We didn't hire from 2001 to almost 2004, so guess what? Next year will be 11 year flow. Once we get to 2008 hires, we didn't hire from 2008 to 2010. The only big group left after that is the 2011 guys, at 325. Very easily, the flow will work fine, if not even faster.
If you are looking for a place to move forward from, envoy seems to be a good choice. Don't listen to tools who have no interest in anything but seeing envoy fail, like Eaglefattie and FirstTool; Neither of these individuals works for envoy. One is definitely an industry rookie(LastClass), likely broadcasting from moms basement while he awaits IOE.
