Why are we fixing all the staffing issues for the company? Sad day at Delta for me. This is the best its going to get and this is what we are talking about? Makes me sick how the union guys will not answer the hard questions, they only say this is the best you can get. Not once did they say this is 8, 2.5 Jan 1st. They hide all the details. It's only going to effect 2% FO's for the IOE giveback. Come ON MAN, this is a joke! All this TA does, is fix their staffings problems. Why not vote this down? The company will still have there staffing issues. We have all the leverage. Let's not waste it on this TA. Please vote NO with me!
SLC usually tends to lean pro whatever the union or company advocates. Plus the reps there are solidly pushing the agreement.

That said, the no guys are probably set in their decision and don't need to be lectured by the MEC.

The staffing fix that the TA fixes is tremendous. While Delta has hired 1200 pilots a year, it is rare to have 600-800 pilots retire in a year. This time it will occur without the threat of bankruptcy and loss of pension, and it can't be stopped (unless ALPA, A4A and Uncle Sam raise the age again). Once the training cycle goes into hire gear it will be there for several years.

Is it wrong to solve the staffing issue? No, but we could have done it better. Did we sell it too cheap?... This is an IQ test.
