After three squares a day I'm over my $50 in per diem so there's really nothing left for "things to do" like you mentioned. I'm at work, not here to go out and burn extra money playing. That's fine for anyone that wants to do that but it's not me. Besides, over a 30 year career, how many times can you actually see the sites in NYC, SFO, etc before it's been there done that.
