In my own personal opinion, corporate greed in America is getting completely out of control...it is obscene if you actually pay attention to the numbers and care anything about QOL for the middle and upper-middle class. That being said, this is the first time I've felt like I was part of a group who could actually make an impact or at least a meaningful statement on this condition.
I hope a majority of the voting members have the courage (because yes, there is risk in doing so) to vote no.
Management has every reason in the world to bring us all along up the earnings ladder, THEY just need the courage to do so and trust that we offer exceptional ROI (because we do).
RA simply has to understand that a few bad apple sick-abusers, and some occasionally irritating exploitation of OE trip buy-offs are not worth souring relations with the masses and completely losing pilot buy-in of his business model. My greatest fear is that no matter how the vote goes, management's overreach and DALPA's weakness have already caused irrevocable and significant harm. With decades at Delta ahead of me, I certainly hope this isn't true.
